As a coordinator, students need your approval of their application in order to access and search this network. Your coordinator application will be sent to the Network Administrator for approval. New Coordinators are required to sign and accept the Coordinator's Participation Agreement (below). You should review the Role and Responsibility of the Coordinator.

When your application is accepted, you will be notified by email at the email address you provide below, and you will be able to manage student work based activities at your school. For questions and concerns about this network, email the Administrator.

COORDINATOR'S PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

By submitting this application to use the WorkPlaceConnections web site, I am affirming that I understand and agree to the following guidelines:

  1. The employers and community members listed on WPC represent the entire databases of Your Future Is Our Business and BEAM (Business & Education Alliance of the Monterey Peninsula). These databases have been built over the past six years. Some members have participated on a regular basis. All members have been sent information about WPC and are currently listed as being willing to participate in career panels, informational interviews or job shadowing.
  2. Optimally, communication on WPC will be email driven. At this time not all employers have email addresses. However, employer email addresses are continually being added.
  3. Students will not be approved to participate on this network unless they are under the direct supervision of a site coordinator and have received preparation for work-based learning activities.
  4. One coordinator may "train" another coordinator at their site; however the new coordinator will have to be approved by the WPC Administrator and will need to sign a Participation Agreement and fax (831-477-5636) or mail it to: Your Future Is Our Business, 6500 Soquel Drive, Building 2100 C, Aptos, CA 95003 Coordinators and students will be sensitive to the fact the employers/community members volunteer their time. It is critical that everyone using the WPC network note how recently employers have participated in activities whenever possible and attempt to "spread out" the contacts. It is also helpful to take geographic location and transportation into account when matching students with employers for an activity at a business or school site.
  5. All participants on WPC share the responsibility for updating and entering new employer contacts into the network on a regular basis and supporting sustainability of the site.
  6. Your registration as Coordinator will remain in effect during the school calendar year noted above.
